About Flamingo Bread

So… I’m willing to bet the first question is ‘Flamingo Bread?! What kind of blog name is that?!’ It’s quite simple, really. I was raised in beautiful Miami, which just so happens to have an abundance of flamingos. I am also a baker, hence the Bread portion of the name. My husband liked the name and so, there you go: Flamingo Bread.

This blog is a joint venture between myself and my husband and focus mainly on cooking, baking and bento, though may occasionally include other random thoughts and things we find interesting. We hope you enjoy what you see and read here and encourage you to comment and share! Oh, and one more thing- you don’t have to agree with what we say and you can say as much- in fact, we urge you to please do so! We are constantly learning new things- ingredients, methods and the like and are always willing to learn something new. Do keep in mind, however, that there is usually more than one way of doing things, so please remember to be respectful of others. Bento, baking and cooking are loves we enjoy sharing so please, step into our kitchen, tie on an apron and share our joy!
